Attention to all the Tung Hua Red Crescent member!

22 Youth Member Foot Drill Competition is held on 13 July 2008. Therefore, all the participants have to get well prepared before the competition.
T-shirt team is now lacking of participants, so kindly hope that the members who have not be chosen can volunteer to join the team.
Announcement to Uniform team.
We will choose the best 22 participants for the competition and another 3 participants for reserve. Hope all of you can try your best in all the training.
The members who do not participate in the competition can also come to observe the competition.

TUNG HUA CAMP 2007
Date: 11-15 December 2007

(Please don't forget the date, every year we have members who forget the date..haha...)

Venue: SMK Bandar Sibu, Sarawak

Organiser: Malaysian Red Crescent Youth Unit No. 49 (SMK Tung Hua)

It is our pleasure to inform all of you that we have MRC youth members throughout Sarawak (Miri, Kuching, Sarikei and of course Sibu) in our camp.

All the above e-mail addresses are all the members who have written their address in the application form. Building up friendship through e-mail first may help in fostering better friendship and showing great team effort in the camp.

Here is a kindly reminder of the things to be brought below:

Basic neccesities:

1. MRC full uniform / MRC T-shirt

2. Sport shoes / white shoes ( 2 pairs ), stoking ( 4 pairs ) , slippers

3. Enough clothing for 5 days, shirts, long pants, trekking suit, jackets, old clothing, gloves, washing powder / detergent.

4. Toiletries: toilet papers, shampoo, soap, tooth brush ,tooth paste , towels , toilet paper, comb.

5. Stationery: pencils, pens, ruler, note pad, poster color, brush, first aid book, glue.

6. Cutlery: spoon, fork, chopstick, plate, glass / cup, bottle.

7. Bed sheet, pillow

8. Triangular bandage, roller bandages, torch light(enough batteries), scissors, candles, whistle, Mosquito coils / Insect repellent.

9. Raincoat, umbrella, Cap.

10. Cosmetics (for activities)

11. 3 tins canned food (halal)

12. Medicine (individual)

13. Plastic bags

Restricted items as stated below is strictly prohibited throughout the camp.

*The organizing committee will not be responsible for any damage or lost of personal belongings during the period of camp.

Kindly reminder for local participants :

For local participants, please kindly be informed that there is a talk to all of you on the 8^th of Dec 07 at MRC Building Sibu Chapter. Anyone who are not coming please make an effort to write-in your reasons in bulk (from unit) OR call or sms or ring or tell us and any of the ajks you know personally in any form of communication ways. All details on the camp will be informed on that day.

Kindly reminder for outstation participants :

For outstation participants, please kindly inform me of the date, time of arrival and departure and also your transport here to Sibu. All of the outstation participants please to be free from transportation problems. We will try our best, in fact, it is our responsibilities for the transport for all of you, so don't worry about it, and of course the "Free From Worries Days in Sibu "is only for a day before and a day after our camp. ^_^

World First Aid Day - 9th October

Every day, Red Cross Red Crescent volunteers around the world work to save lives and relieve suffering. Based on their commitment to the spirit of humanity they provide first aid and contribute to community health and social development. Their help to build a better, safer and more peaceful world cannot be valued highly enough. World First Aid Day is a day on which we recognize the important role of these volunteers.

On 9 September 2006 Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies around the world organized events on the theme: ”Saving lives without discrimination.” National Societies and their branches carried out workshops, they demonstrated first-aid techniques and held talks to increase awareness of the Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.These are: humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality, as well as the provision of humanitarian assistance without any selfish motives.

Leading by example, by providing first aid and other activities, Red Cross Red Crescent volunteers encourage members of their communities to recognize and value humanity by respecting all human beings, regardless of their nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions.

I have the pleasure to inform you that Malaysian Red Crescent Youth Unit No.49 of SMK Tung Hua,Sibu will be organizing a state level training camp from 11th December 2007 to the 15th December 2007 at SMK Bandar Sibu.

Respective youth unit invited is allowed to send in more applications to be considered for selection.The Organizing Committee will provide accommodation and food during the period of the camp.

All application forms must be submitted to Sibu Chapter or our school on or before 15 October 2007. If you have any inquire, please e-mail us or contact the organising personnel.Your co-operation and encouraging support towards this camp is highly appreciated.

Pada tahun 1971, Persatuan Bulan Sabit Merah Malaysia Unit Belia Tung Hua telah ditubuhkan. Dalam jangka masa ini, persatuan kami telah berubah daripada sebuah persatuan baru yang mentah kepada salah sebuah persatuan kokurikulum yang disegani ramai tidak kira dalam sekolah mahupun di luar sekolah. Ahli-ahli persatuan sentiasa berpegang teguh pada motto iaitu SEDIA BERKHIDMAT. Persatuan kami telah mendapat anugerah UNIT BELIA TEBAIK bagi Chapter Sibu untuk 9 tahun berturut-turut, iaitu dari tahun 1989 hingga tahun 1997, 4 tahun berturut-turut dari tahun 1999 hingga tahun 2002 dan juga tahun 2004. Selain itu, unit kami telah mendapat anugerah UNIT BELIA TERBAIK bagi cawangan Sarawak pada tahun 1999.

PERLANTIKAN AJK BARU DAN PENTADBIRAN

Ahli Jawatankuasa baru sebanyak 12 orang telah dilantik secara rasmi pada bulan April tahun ini. Mesyuarat mingguan kami diadakan setiap Sabtu kecuali pada cuti umum atau menjelang hari peperiksaan dari pukul 2:00 petang hingga 4:00 petang di Blok 3 tingkat ketiga. Mesyuarat AJK diadakan dari semasa ke semasa untuk menyelesaikan masalah yang timbul. Latihan kawad kaki dan pertolongan cemas merupakan aktiviti utama yang dijalankan setiap minggu. Permainan yang menyeronokkan juga diadakan untuk mengeratkan hubungan sesame ahli. Setiap minggu, ahli-ahli kami akan menderma secara murah hati yang dikenali sebagai “ Kutipan Kebajikan” kepada golongan yang kurang bernasib baik.

Pada tahun ini, Unit Belia Tung Hua telah mendapat tempat kedua dalam aktiviti penjualan bendera. Kutipan wang didapati adalah kira-kira sebanyak RM20000.00. Kejayaan ini amat memuaskan kami dan kami akan berusaha lagi untuk memperoleh kejayaan yang lebih cemerlang lagi.
Akhir lagi, persatuan kami ingin melafazkan ribuan terima kasih atas kerjasama semua pihak. Hati ikhlas yang ditonjolkan oleh setiap pihak dalam mengharungi rintangan amat dihargai.
